it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

the poor poor girl's life has been turned upside down this past week with all the chaos of our new carpet/re-decorating extravaganza.

being cooped up is not her thing.

yesterday the sun was shinning, it was beautiful out.

we took a little adventure with auntie jaycee and her boyfriend bradley.

ate some delicious Spencer Makenzie's [if you haven't been there, go...now!]

then walked to the pier.

the waves were big, really big. she loves watching them. she wants to jump in and absolutely

would if I wasn't there to stop her.

we all picked flowers and put them in our hair.

by the walk back she had taken everyone's flowers after dropping the one she already had.

she was tired, but oh so happy.

she sang "i'm so happy, i'm so happy" and melted my heart.

i just looked down at the little lady holding my hand and walking so contently and embraced the moment, everything in life made sense.

the girl is love.
